Horrible Bao restaurant...
Funny thing happened today while we were at Nan Xiang Steamed Bun Restaurant for dinner =)Ermmm... Duno how to say la, the Manager's service is WUDI good ok! hehe
But cant say that for the rest of the crew la!
We actually wanted to order this huge Bao soup eh, which we saw from today's newspapers la. It is a really huge Xiao Long Bao, in which they stuck a straw on it lor! hehe But too bad they were all sold out =~~(
Stay away from the 3 mushroom bao, its very dry n sucky It is really dissapointing as they served us this bao first! Spoilt the whole restaurant's bao reputation lor.
Well maybe its due to the fillings are purely mushroom n the top portion is quite thick lor. So u would most prolly feel its dry.
Use more of the vinegar, which tastes like those used for sharksfin soup eh hehe
Our 2nd bao appeared after quite a while lor, its a normal pork bao la.
Quite juicy lor, but still abit dissapointed la the meat is too tough, think they didnt use enough fatty meat lor. Its' the same texture for all the baos we had.
After which... everything else went haywired...
They served us our desert! And gave us 1 bowl instead of the 2 we ordered -_-"
Bat ordered a drink, but had to make repeated orders n reminders to get a can of Season's Ice Lemon Tea.
Next they served us our vegetable dish instead of our baos...
Next up they served us our Prawn bao, but turned out to be another Pork Bao!
As both Prawn n pork bao looks exactly the same, you wont know the difference unless u bit into it lor @.@
I got the Manager over to let her know of the mistake in order lor, she's really quick on her feet n immediately say that rack is on the house =)
After which things got a bit better lor, they serve us our desert (correct amount now) just abit before our prawn bao n crabd roe bao came along. The crab roe bao is good! The soup is sweet n have quite a bit of creab roe n meat inside. Prawn bao is forgetable.
Desert is some fermented rice wine w dumplings lor, its abit chilled with a slight sour taste n rice wine taste la... Its a taste to be acquired!
Last screw up... after we're almost done, they wana serve us another 3 bowls of desert! @.@ Which we duely reject n send back lor, coz we didnt order those le!
I was quite dissapointed in this restaurant lor... Even when i go to the counter to pay the bill ah, the cashier take it as I'm invisible lor! I was there first n she even go print n processed other waiter's bill before me le! diaoz... Think i was like standing there for 10 mins asking for the bill before she printed it out...
It's really quite a horrid experience lor n on top they still dare to charge me 10% service charge?
Maybe I should have told the manager off on their screw up which made me waste soooo much time there...
