Next thing up is i found out Dell cut the price of the sexy 24 incher in Singapore! Just when i was about to liase with a fren in US to help me buy this gorgeous beauty! Well just afew weeks back i was harping on US of A getting alot of great deals like this beau was going for like USD779 but US only.
Now someone in Dell had to make it so much sweeter. SGD$1.5k isn't really very sweet, but if u think i had to fork out another USD$100~200 to ship it from my fren's place in USA... It would sounds much better.
So far it seems like everyone is raving in their reviews of this lcd, this price point n features is really dead attractive *drools*
Dang i've got to find something bad about this lcd so i wont buy it! Hahaha

Reminisce over Supper
Swell...how did this innocent supper turned out to be a 5hr supper marathon?
It started off frankly w me asking ProbChild out for dinner, but since she's occupied i asked her out for supper instead, after she finishes her work by 9pm.
I wasn't expecting her to really join me for supper, but sometime just after midnight i recieved a call from her telling me she's free now...
How strange for her to wana go supper w me. Thought she was on some diet to lose the last kg from her Taiwan trip, not to mention supper would add a few cm to her waistline! haha
Duno the reason, just went along n promptly jio'ed a few old friends to meet up n have food!
First on my mind were those ppl online or staying near me...
SMS'ed n MSN them but all no reply -___-;
HH, no reply.
El, no reply.
Fendi, no reply. ( Found out he was "shooting planes" )
Siao liao lor... all not free...
Next would be the crazy gaydog & fatbat...
Dog's just off work n at BQ drinking, bat's well as per norm like Cinderella, stuck home after 11pm lol

Anyway supper was at Masayu (oppo Siglap POSB), ProbChild was like stoning liao ~_~ hehe lucky she no scold me ok! keke She said she was like thirsty n wanted to drink hot Milo -___-||| but i recommend her to take Milo Peng (Iced Choco) instead.
She was quite obsessed w what the other table was having, this redish orange liquid which i got no idea what it is! (Turns out its just Ice lemon tea w lemon slices hehe) Ok i got reprimanded coz i ordered lemon tea n didn't know that the opposite table was having it...
When jon arrived w ABL, we ordered some mee goreng, beehoon goreng, mee kuah n calamari to munch on =)
Fendi called us telling us he's locked in some toilet n need jon's help to unlock himself.
Dog called n wana join us after his drinking session.
We went to Geylang's "Wan Tou Sek" for supper part 2, tim sum =)
Sent Probchild home at nearly 5am n kena suaned all the way back by the 3 ppl -__- even reminded me of the time i walk back from West End to Indooroopilly
I wana know why did she agree to join me for supper at such a late hr, but...

Hush! Well we lost afew gd man along the way, Winner the poop, Carrot head n WP. They were the scouts whom i lost contact when they went into too far into JB -___-

Anyway was on another black ops, doggie poop last min told me he's opening a new bank ac to help him launder more dough! Dang next time round i'll be doing a FD instead...
We went City Square to scout around for feed, as it was abit too early for crabby dinner... So we jalan jalan (walk walk) around checking out the fashion n babes ;-) hehehe nah more like checking out new PS2 games...
We found something special n secret hidden in the basement... Secret Recipe!
And since ProbChild keep recommend it for its Irish Lamb Stew, we went ahead n ordered it!
"Two sets please! And a set of kids meal burgers for appetizers! Thank you!"
So first came the Kid's meal burgers...
It is really mini burgers, coming in either chickie or beefie flavours. Its really small! 2 bites n its gone! Its really tasty n tender, the bread is fluffy n has a slight sweet taste. The chips are cute Alphabets which are surprisingly soft inside n crispy outside.
Next came the main course! The legendary Irish Lamb Stew which ProbChild keep promoting!
The meat is soft n tender, n easily teared apart using just a fork n spoon. The sauce is just right n has a slight lamb smell. The bread is also same tasting as the kid's burger bread, but it seems like they microwaved it to make it warm.
It is almost complete n passeable ... except for the whipped potato...
Horrors of all horrors! I've never eaten before a floury mixture which is still cold in the center! There is absolutely no potato taste in it, the first probe i did with the spoon have already warned me something's wrong about this "whipped potato"...
Man its like abit too hard on the edges n too firm when the spoon is going thru the mixture.
Our meal was absolutely spoiled by this foul mixture.
I just hope the Singapore version is not as foul as this!
Anyway we still finished all the stew, but i dunk the whole potato mixture aside...
Since we had like lots of free time before dinner, we went for a crappy 1.5-2 out of 5 stars show... Stealth...
Its full of flashy moves n the dog fight is interesting n the sound effects is superb, but its mainly CG n the plot is really really sub-standard.
Ermmm... is there a storyline? hahaha
Watch this show purely for the surround sound. Anyway the soundsystem is really crappy, 1/2 way thru it would drop to become 2 channel audio -___- well this is what u pay for SGD$5 wont give u gd systems hehe
After the show we were frozen solid n went out to thaw while seriously considering if we should go for crabby crabby dinner... Our main mission!!!
But sad case, we were still filled to the brim n was still cursing the potato mixture n blaming the delish bread for filling us up! hahaha
So dinner we went back to Secret recipes again! *abish*
Dont get the wrong idea ok! Hehehe we're like still very full n we only took cakes ~__~ doogie poop had Choco-fudge (coz it looks like his poop ;p lol) n i had Strawberry cheesecake.
Choco-fudge was not bad, not so sweet n full of flavour (as per the dog's own words keke) As for the cheesecake, the top surface was abit too firm, therefore the cake must be not so fresh. It tastes quite ok, but it was abit too gluey feeling (think they put too much gelatine or some lousy gelatine?)
But it was no where as delish as the one from 3 monkeys... Yup the one which i bought for ZL's b'day ;p hehe
Anyway Secret Recipe really have a wide range of cake... Maybe the next time round i'll try the white choco macadamia or rocky mountain.
In short not that bad la Secret Recipe, but i cant pass judgement till i try the outlets which ProbChild said are really good. Hope her taste is not as bad a Carrothead eh hor! wohohoho ;p

Got feed n got gastric
Had a wonderful oppurtunity to eat Ostrich steak this afternoon at Vines Seafood & Steak (Novena Ville, 275 Thomson rd)
It was quite lucky that we managed to make it there for lunch! Well the best laid plans are always foiled by something unexpected, but anyway we were able to sneak away from all the work to savior this wonderful meal!
The restaurant is a cozy n hippy place w lots of brown n earthly looking mediteranian deco, sort of resembling Margarita's. All the waiters are handsome lads n we were suspecting they are also of mediteranian origins. They are serious about their job going around carrying a stern face, but warm smiles constantly greets the patrons.
Most of the patrons are of working class or least mid management level as compared to the patrons of the other food joints around the area.
As we were in a rush, we didnt have the time to really look thru the main-menu n the 4 of us ordered the same Ostrich steak set lunch n done medium. Before u all rattle off why there aint no variation in the orders, i would like to say this, none of us have any idea how does ostrich meat taste like. Even though its the most expensive item in the set lunch menu, $14++ is still quite reasonable n its only like $5 higher than the usual steak/chix sets.
The set came w Gumbo chicken soup, mixed fruit pudding n coffee or tea. On top of which we ordered a dozen escargoes for appetizers.
Dont ask me what is gumbo soup ok! I've got no idea too hehe, but i suspect the soup has some flour content n lots of finely chopped bell peppers n has a nice slightly fresh bell pepper taste on top of the creamy taste.
The escargoes were somewhat dissapointing in that the tiny morsels were abit too soft n lacking in flavour. The butter was overpowering the taste of the garlic n herbs.
Out main course is heaven! A nice slab of ostrich meat served on a bed of sliced onions on top of a sizzling hotplate. Accompanied by small chunks of sauteed potatoe bits n boiled vegetables.
The meat is very tender, even for the sides which are often tough for normal beef steaks as there is no fats to keep the juices in. It tastes faintly like beef but has a slight smell, which some find it not so pleasant. The manager recommended only going for either medium or medium well at most, if its too rare the smell would be over powering n too well, the meat would turn too tough. Dont forget even as u eat the steak, the meat is still cooking!
The onions sort of became sauteed over time n begin to soak in the juices of the ostrich n brown mushroom pepper sauce.
The potato chunks were of bite size, at first impression it seems like they are plainly deep fried, but on second glance, it seems like its grilled n had some form of special seasoning which gave it a somewhat "sweet" taste which is alluring n somewhat uncommon taste in local cuisine. It's sort of like having a pretty girl wearing a orange/yellow summer (chiffon?) dress n a sweet warm smile in the crowds of pretty office ladies along orchard rd... Bright n attractive.
Desert was kind of attractive looking pudding with a bright pastel orange hue, its smells vaguely of watermelon & honeydew, on top of other fruits which we've got no idea of. ITs just wierd that there's a layer of clear gelatin below the mixture of fruits, which could mean the gelatin sinked down while it was firuming up.

He gave a very important tip for us wanting to travel to other countries like Thailand or Malaysia, dont every spoil the market by rattling off our trap by saying things are cheap!
Alot of us are ignorant of the fact that lots of goods we buy are already marked up in pricing overseas, but we tend to compare to back home, which is a great no-no. Which would allow retailers to wana mark-up the pricing somemore.
When overseas buying, just bargain the pricing n keep ur mouth shut on how great a bargain u get!
Food wise he didnt tell me much =( other than its cheap! hehe

Most of us must have at one time or another experienced having a meal by ourselves.
Today is no exception for me.
I was supposed to hv a meal w e gang, but due to miscommunication i only know i was late only 1/2hr after everyone had meet up.

We'd lost contact for a long while, think least few years ago when we split from from the same company. But over the years i sort of barely kept contact with him but i still got updates about him, sudden marriage, had a kid n recently divorced.

I was like abit shocked, Mr Lady-killer kena killed by lady?
I was readily expecting Mr Lady-killer to be the one whom jumped ship n get caught with his pants down with some chick...

His mate jumped ship n he was left dangling with a broken heart, scarred by the one whom he gave all his heart for.
How deep is the scar? Ermmm no idea, but long enough for a womaniser to stay away from woman is pretty deep for me to say so.
I took some effort to get him chatting on about himself as more pressing matters are at stake, like his kid's custody n the alimony...
Which would mean how long more is he gona be in this state before going back to being a normal "guy", well alimony can be pretty hefty. I KNOW !!!
It would turn any guy's world upside-down n in his case i doubt he would become a regular single guy anytime soon...
He loves his kid alot! Well he never told me much about he n his kid, but somehow i get this feeling its more important to him than the alimony.
Dont think u guys need to guess, the kid was awarded to the woman...
Due to our woman's charter prefering to allow the woman to take care of the kid no matter what's the reason for the divorce. Unless she has a criminal record or of mentally unstable la.
He has to pay alimony for the kid in this case too, not sure if he has to pay for the wife or not. What i do know is the wife is staying with the parents n she's more than financially capable of providing for the kid.
So why the double stab of awarding the child to the woman n still wanting him to pay for the alimony n on top of which its the wife whom is unfaithful not him ?!?!?

Luckily the kid takes his surname n he's allowed to visit him anytime he wants, but as a gd dad he doesnt want his kid to find out the real reason of their divorce.

Y's - The Oath in Felghana
This is the
latest game in the Y's franchise =) I wasnt really expecting it to be out so soon, since typical falcom releases Y's sequels like once in 2 or 3 years.
I wanted to buy it from Falcom, but the staff doesnt seem understand english properly x.x. Lady luck was smiling on me when i found a torrent for it! ;-)
Ok this running game really pisses me off...

The whole series the story concept has always been this balance between good n evil, someone harbour a grudge or some reason n want more power therefore joined the devil's side n blah-blah-blah ;-)
For non-players of Y's, this is a 3D perspective action RPG, its the 7th in series n actually its the 2nd Y's game for the PC. Y's 6 is the first Y's sequel to hit the PC (when i say PC i mean exclude MSX etc la).
Ok in this game, you control the character Adol Christin (aka redhair guy) n u go around saving the world from evil, ermm more like the evil of mankind.
And so happen u as a wanderer, always comes along in a boat (previously it has always been u shipwreck into the storyline ~_~ hehe think they got sick of it liao! lol) n stumbled upon some poor village surrounded by evil mobs n u vow to help out the damsels in distress =) Ya there's always a sworn rival/enemy who's handsome n dashing kind n always going against u... -__-
Nuff about nonsense crap >__< etc =")"
Graphics wise, its a 3D perspective w lots n lots of details!
Take for example, moving waterfalls in the background, falling snow which goes against ur movements, gentle swaying of the shrubs, etc. Matching background music helps immerse u in the environment with the soothing sounds of the waterfall. Of course the basics of 3D sound system is implemented letting u hear the action be it in any corner of the screen... and in certain cases, out of screen too.
A lot of shadowing n 3D enhancements have been made, making the exploration much more exciting than previous sequels. Equally amazing sound effects are in place to let u feel the hollowness of being in a cave, alone n unexpecting what might pop up at the next turn!
There isnt alot of zooming n camera movements, so its friendly for those with 3D sickness =)
Style wise, its typical japanese anime design, Characters are modeled in 3D anime style, following the SD concept (head is bigger than body!) but mobs wise, there's a creative flare with lower lvl mobs being more cute n higher lvl mobs being ugly n threatening (~_~)
Same for the bosses, they are huge n menacing!
And have alot of great looking attacks! Dont spend too much time admiring it ok! lol
There's alot of cut-scenes in which a nice anime portrait of the character which u are interacting w appears.
The concept of magic in thie world is also different from previous, this time round magic is imbuned with the bracelets you use (Red for Fire, Yellow for Wind n Green for Earth) Dont worry, when u get magic there are in-game scenes which would show u how to use them! There's also a "Manual" in the option menu in case u need to refer to the skills/techniques u learnt.
Magic could be made stronger by finding the required crystals, Ruby for Fire, Emerald for Wind & Topaz for Earth. Weapons upgrade wise, you would need to get the Crystals n gold n bring to the weapon smith. All weapon, armour n sheild have 2 lvls of upgrade to become max.
For a beginner of Y's, this would be a great game to get! Provided you can understand the japanese storyline =( Its just a simple hack n level game n complete quests to gain items n hopefully u have the patience to clear the game!
(Even the last boss isnt really that tough, once u know u need to play ping-pong with him when he reachs 1000hp!)
I dont get the full details of the storyline, but well afetr so many cut-scenes n events, u would get a rough gist of what is going on around there hehe.
This game so far have provided me about 24hrs of fun hehe, cleared it too fast x_x. (lvl60, everything maxed, didnt find the last armour in Dark shrine ~_~)
Nope didnt use any guide, just typical RPG player common sense hehe.
Think its my luck -__- coz every path i take leads me to the boss/mini-boss!!! Dang i aint an expert mice in a maze man, but somehow i keep going towards the bosses n have to retrack back to find items needed!

What happened was when i reached there at 10am, they were like 1/2 open the lady signaled they're open for business, but the tag says closed -___-|||
When i went into the saloon, i'm like out of my league, i become the shy timid boy liao lor ~__~ kena manipulated by the hair dresser May ee ;p hehe (I duno mah~!~!)
Which happens to be the most presentable looking lady in the shop lor
Everything i ask her opinion n let her decide lor, but gota agree w her lor i look better w mid-length hair but i choosed the color i wana highlight lor, but she choosed the exact shade (thinks its called Loreal #13) subtle n not too outstanding like Bat's ;-) hehe
btw according to Bat May ee is the owner lor, but she said she's only an "employee" there, so i really duno lor ~__~
Anyway she's scary la, she literally remembers all the ppl she cuts hair for le... She has some vague rememberence of Bat! lol But gota admit her attitude is wudi ok! Can say to date one of the best "employee" i've ever meet. She pays attention to all customers around, be it those she's cutting hair or those whom are suffering the strong amonia smells from the dyes, aka aku lor (@.@)
I was being abit noti lor hehe ppl cut hair i busy SMS bat abt the hair cut, SMS nick abt looking for job n think i was also SMS'ing CL abt go sin ming hehe...
In short i was trying to keep myself busy la, since i'm shy n dont dare to talk much to May ee n her other hair dressers la (*^_^*)
Anyway my hair cut turned out to be great! Ermmm so far everyone said it looks gd! hehe except mama la ;p she say why i dont pay her $50 n she high-light for me? lol
But more importantly the praises from CL was god sent! hehe
Equally important was i think my interviewees were also impressed w my outlook la! keke
Back to the interview la, it was like last minute thing i meet ron's bosses at TCC bugis for an informal interview lor, just sit n chat talk shop abt wat the doing blah..blah...blah....blah......blah.......Zzz
K i was seriously trying not to doze off la! keke
I also suck at interviews lor! Hehe only talk abt work, never ask abt pay package n other benefits ~__~ well... nvm la dont think they're interested in me lor, think i'm too expensive for the job lor >_<.

Here is a nice guide i put together for all who like to take expensive things apart
It is a tough mod actually, in my experience it is on a similar level tothe p-series. But i dont mean to put you off, give it a go!

1. ok, lets do this. Now remove the battery cover (lol that will be the easiest thing you do in this mod) Unscrew the 4 screws you see, and keep them somewhere safe
2. Now, use something with a blunt blade and skim around the edges of the back cover, turn the blade now and again and that will release the catches.
3. Use this same technique for the front cover, be careful of the lcd though, expensive to replace
4. Now you should have something like this. Dont be fooled my young friend, we are far from done
PART 2 - DOWN UNDER
Right, lets have a look under her skin shall we. hmmm, she is mutton dressed as lamb methinks not very nice at all!
1. Remove the kepad system: Just rips it off, be gentle of course, its like unplugging anything, it really is that easy.
2. Next lets attack the lcd, exactly as the keypad......just unplg it from the board.
4. Hopefully you now have this:
5. And what do you know, yes you guessed it....lets unplg the camera from the baord as well.
6. Now, lift the baord free, use the knife again to unclip it. And pull it out from the base connector.
PART 3 - The Camera
1. OK, so now the board is free from the case. What do we see? We see the camera lense and the ribbon. Now, unplug the ribbon from the actual camera, then lift it free.
2. Dont forget to remove the little sticky pieces and the flash led's, they just lift free with a knife very easily.

PART 4 - RECOMPOSITION (The Final Act)
Now all we have to do is put our new housing on. Just retrace the steps and you will be fine. Couple of tips though, put the button in first....they can be tricky.
Then, once done lets hope you have something looking like this.

Sorry guys hehe nah that's not the case ok! Well i played a little mischief on my part ;-) n had asked FatBat out beforehand! Yeap 1 Bat 1 mons n a cute lady!
How did it happen? Hmmm... Ok Bat wanted to go watch The Island at our usual haunt n i was about to go home to wash up, funny thing i had a sudden urge to call on CL. Just to disturb her la! lol

So somehow i ended up using my lousy persuasive skills n managed to psycho her to join me for dinner lor! hehehe

So anyway i managed to pull the wool over her eyes n get her to join me for dinner n then later part i also bluff her said i got spare tix for the show, which in actual fact i dont! haha

Dinner was at a noodle restaurant (CS basement, beside soup restaurant, same reataurant as the time i went w Kelvin Tuan & Tiffany) I didnt really made a big effort to conceal the fact i tricked her into joining me n bat for dinner n movies hehe gomenasai!
But too bad liao lor... she took the bait line n sinker all the way liao keke
Of coz i not the kind whom would pang sei or ask ppl pay eh la, nor would i ask them take plain noodles or $2.50 fishball noodles la! lol
The food is nice there! For starters we had the Mango shrimp wrapovers, some beancurd skin wrapovers n Fried tofu w special sauce.
The Mango shrimp is dissapointing le, kauz cant find no shrimp -_- n it was abit cold, maybe its the characteristics of the dish, the mango is cold but the shrimp is warm w the hot n crispy wrappings?
Just an advice, do not drizzle the special sauce over the Fried tofu, dip the tofu into the sauce when u want it... else it would get soggy.
Not really fantastic, the first time round w KT & Tiffany was definately better! lol
For main course, we ordered wrongly liao ;p Only after the noodles were served did i know i had ordered soup eh le -___-|| Joker hor? lol
Bat had the Beef noodles (since he's afraid of getting nightmares of seafood! hehe)
CL had the Shrimp dumpling noodles
Me had the Wanton noodles...
All came with soup x_x Forgot should order dry eh =~~( Nvm lor
Best part la, i duno how she managed to drink finish the soup n had to ask for refill lol Personally i felt the soup was abit bland, the seaweed n spring onion/chives did not bring up the flat taste of the noodles. But the Wantons n Shrimp dumpling were packed to the brim w fresh pork n Shrimps! hehe
Well i tried fleeching one of the juicy Shrimp morsels from CL... but dang i couldnt manage to pull it off! >_<
The movie? Ya its nice lor hehe ermmm abit gory n messy, in the sense the action got us abit mixed up in certain scenes... especially how the heck does Lincoln 6 Echo manage to manuveur in the endless mazes @.@ Eh first time running also can find exit ok! Also the part on the micro machines getting in thru the eyes... x_x
This movie would allow us to reflect on the future of bio-science n cloning, with all the stem cell research hor...
How would we know that the organizations out there doing these researches do not breach on such in-humane practices? Its really farming of humans just to harvest the organs or in worse case, harvest the child...
Nuff said of the movie la... Hope u all could watch it n derive ur own thoughts about it lor =) hehe

Hehe just finished watching the latest anime i could get my hands on ;-)
Episode 1 & 2 of

Its really quite a nice anime, great drawings, cute gers, nice music... Did i mention cute girls? hehe well the story's so-so and its hard to tell if it would turn out to be really interesting.Its abit like Ichigo 100%, whereby a guy is surrounded by many cute girls n i would guess the ring of girls would be ever growing -__- (why dont i get the same treatment? lol)
What i really love is the cute CM break clips of the cat practicing kungfu & munching on ika v^.^ also i've got a soft spot for Primula hehe maybe its due to her carrying the raggy cat doll! Hehehe
So this story revolves around a free loading guy, Rin kun, who's co-habitating with Kaede n goes to the same school. In they're world, humans are mixed together with gods (short pointy ears) & demons (long elf like ears).
His best friend Itsuki, who's motto is to be friends with all girls -__-
An eager senpai Asa whom is very much boisterous, but also hoping for Rin kun's affection.
Add in another two more equally cute chicks, Sia (god) & Rin (demon) with equally eager fathers whom want Rin kun to marry their duaghters.
Lastly a strange girl Primula whom i think is a demon, but she has short ears -__-""

What is it ?
When Darth Vader decided to take over the universe, he decided he needed a really big gun.... a really very big gun indeed, a gun so big it could destroy an entire planet in a single shot. With this in mind he built the Death Star, witnesses at the time often confused it with a small moon, so you get some idea of it's size... and colour.
In my batchelor days I decided I needed a subwoofer for my lounge, a subwoofer so powerful it could loosen fillings, shake out the colesteral from my arteries and generally make a lot of noise. It seemed to me that the Death Star, ignoring the weakness that ultimately lead to it's complete destruction, was a pretty good design... so I made my own (with a lot of help from my then housemate).
I'm no longer a batchelor, I no longer live in a detached house in the middle of nowhere, so the subwoofer is offered here for sale.
Construction
My housemate and I are not known for under-engineering, or even adequate-engineering things, and this is another example of our finest over-engineering.
Inside is a skeleton made from 18mm MDF with curved ribs, approximately 30-40mm thick to make the basic circular shape. It was made airtight from the inside using fibre glass matting, then the gaps between the ribs was filled with chopped glass fibres and resin. A skin was then made on the outside from ply wood. It resembled a large onion at this point, not quite the plan!
The large onion was basically round but needed to be rounder.. So the plywood was covered in fibre glass - it's worth noting this is when we learned that power sanding fibre glass whilst wearing a T-Shirt was not our best idea, all the tiny glass fibres stick in your arms, hair, clothes etc. Safety first kids, goggles, breathing masks and overalls!
The whole surface was covered in car body filler, and sanded... and sanded, then we sanded it some more. It really is properly round and nice and smooth. The equatorial trench was then cut out using a router.
The last step was to paint it, it's two shades of grey, with a black equatorial trench and little white dots speccled over the surface to represent the lights. For further visual enhancement the speaker surround is a piece of polished aluminium.

The subwoofer installed is an Alpine 12" SWS-1242D, rated at 900W peak power, 300W rms. The enclosure is filled with foam wadding and ported. The ports are vented directly out the bottom of the subwoofer. The design was modelled on WinISD to calculate the port lengths... it's proper stuff :) There are two 4mm binding posts at the back for connection to a power amplifier. I'll be adding the amplifier to e-bay as soon as I type out a description, but any amplifier will work.
